Who Is Uncle Matthew?

   Uncle Matthew seems like a guy who doesn't like to give respect, you have to earn it and show you can do things. He doesn't really seem the type of guy who likes to get new things or even gifts from people. For example paragraph three on page 43, ''No one in my family has any use for such frippery."
