Newspaper Article

I think my final project is going to write a newspaper article on an important event in the story. I'm also thinking about writing about 'back of the book' review.

Life in Danger

If a friend of mine was in danger, hanging off a cliff or something bad I would definitely help them as much as I can, even though it's putting my life in danger. If a complete stranger needed help and if it put my life in danger I am not so sure because I don't even know the person. I mean I would help as much as I can but if the guy is going to die and you already know that then, no, I don't think I would help the person.

I think some people in our community are treated different by how they may dress. For example, people here in Salem dress pretty much around the same and when you see someone from a different country come here and they wear neck to feet dresses all year long, people may think to themselves, let's treat them different because they don't look like us or dress like us.

Compare and Contrast

John Holbrook and William Ashby are both caring and respectful people. John Holbrook, is a shy guy who doesn't really talk for himself much. He is studying with a doctor in medicine and religion. He also wants to marry Mercy but end's up being with Judith because he couldn't stand up for himself and say he wants to be with Mercy. Now William Ashby on the other hand, he is going to marry Kit but he is going to wait for when she is ready to get married. He also has lots of money so he could provide for her when she is ready to take the next step.

Combining Sentences

Hannah Tupper lived by herself in the meadows but people didn't like her. Everyone thought she was a witch because she was a Quaker. Kit, Nat, and Prudence went to visit Hannah anyway and they all thought Hannah was very nice.

Little White Lies

I think it wouldn't be a problem if people told little white lies. Only if their talking about something that's not  important and you wouldn't remember it anyways. For example if I was talking to someone about a dream I had and I couldn't remember all the details so I could possibly tell some little white lies to make the story better or it could just end up worse with the little lies.

Kit went back to Hannah Tupper's house because she wanted Hannah to know that what she said to Kit worked and now she has her job back at the school and she probably wanted to thank Hannah. Also it could be because Kit feels more welcome at Hannah's house and not at her uncle Mattew's house. She can talk about whatever at Hannah's house but not at uncle Mattew's because no one really likes her besides aunt Rachael.
